Walsall Colts headed to Dudley Kingswinford on Sunday, coming away with a draw: 24-24.
We started the game strongly, scoring an awesome team try. But unfortunately the first half ended with us behind, with DK capitalising on a number of our mistakes. We came back strongly in the second half with Tandy our players back of the match scoring two tries. Two massive moments were both from Calvin, our coaches back of the match; an immense tackle driving the player back at least 3 metres, and then a wonder individual score, chip gather beat defender and score.
Our forwards worked hard throughout; Spencer the players forward of the match, played in a completely foreign role, but did brilliantly. Hayden our coaches forward of the match, showed commitment and heart throughout, looking great at tight head prop. Alfie also received a coaches player award, playing in the backs and forwards to great effect!
Overall a great game, maybe we could/should have won…but a draw is a massive step forward! Well done
