VOLUNTEERS –

Walsall Rugby Club

CAN YOU HELP?

Like other rugby clubs, Walsall RFC is run by volunteers who give their own time in a variety of roles to ensure that the Club runs smoothly and continues to meet its legal obligations and its obligations to the RFU as the sport’s governing body.
By registering yourself, or a member of your family, you are joining our group of dedicated people who take pride in the quality of our clubhouse, our grounds and our rugby.
The majority of the day to day running of the Club is carried out by a team of volunteers. All Age Grade coaches/first aiders are also volunteers.

WE NEED YOU!!

Several of our elected officers and appointed officers have decided it is time for them to step down. The committee would like to see if any members want to put themselves forward for any of the positions and to talk to family and friends to gain support. Please see what you can do for the club moving forward - this is your club!

Positions currently available

Chair of Fundraising
Club Coaching Coordinator
Chair of Entertainment Committee
Staffordshire Representative

We need to fill these positions for this season so please consider if you would be able to take a role on. The Club will not be able to function without people in place.

“Anyone who has ever set foot in a rugby club or spent the afternoon watching matches, knows it’s the people that make a rugby club special.”

There are also other ways you can help, particularly for Age Grade Rugby. There is something for everyone!

Volunteering for the age grade rugby programs:
• Team Managers — help coaches to manage team lists/events
• Learn to coach
• Parent Volunteers — to help coaches with drills and organization at training sessions

Student Volunteers:
• If you are in Years 9-13 you can help with events at the club to earn volunteers hours. At the end of the season students receive an official letter with their total hours volunteered within the year.

Volunteer opportunities for parents:
• Social events —help to organize parties/fundraisers
• Facilities cleaning and maintenance
• Grounds/field maintenance
• Website updating, club calendar management, social media updates and much more!

If you think you can help with one of these roles or something else and have expertise in any area and you can offer help - tell us! The Executive Committee are very happy to discuss any position with you and any offer of help.

Thank you.
