Last week's Fred Rowley final marked Gary’s final match as a mini and junior coach, bringing to a close an incredible 25year mini and junior coaching journey with the club.

What started as “just a couple of weeks” helping with his son’s U6 age group turned into a commitment that’s shaped so many players. Gary guided his son’s age group all the way through to Colts, whilst balancing teaching, senior playing and coaching commitments, and even supporting an additional Colts teams along the way.

After his son's age group moved on to senior rugby, Gary didn’t stop as he went on to coach a further six teams, leading sides to an incredible list of achievements, including Staffs Colts Plate win, League Winners, Fred Rowley Win (and draw) Staffs Colts Cup finalists and Staffs Colts Plate finalists.

But beyond the achievements, it’s Gary’s passion for the game and his dedication to developing young players — both on and off the pitch — that truly defines his impact.
